Will tooth whitening work for me?

Is there any reason not  to try Luster?

What causes tooth discoloration?

Your teeth frequently come into contact with other substances—and some of them leave a stain. Some stains are extrinsic, which means they are on the surface of the tooth, and others are intrinsic. Extrinsic stains are usually caused by food and drink (red wine, coffee, tea, certain fruits and vegetables, etc.) or tobacco. Intrinsic stains can be caused by things such as high fluoride intake or antibiotics.

Why do some methods of teeth whitening make teeth hurt?

While trays and strips can be effective vehicles to hold a peroxide teeth whitening gel against the teeth, the majority of people who use them experience tooth sensitivity. That’s because this method creates a barrier between the tooth and saliva and prevents proper tooth hydration. How  long your teeth will stay white is based on the results you get and your personal habits. If your teeth get 8 shades lighter it will take longer for them to return to their pre-whitened shade than if they only get 2 shades whiter. If you want to maintain your results, it is recommended you avoid coffee, tea, red wine, cola, red sauces, blue or black berries, mustard, ketchup, tobacco products, and soy sauces. Or you could just whiten again.

I have sensitive teeth. Is White 7 okay for my teeth?

I notice that the Luster White 7 tube is not full as it takes a while to squeeze the paste from the tube.

Luster White 7 contains active dental peroxide which is the same whitening ingredient used in most professional dental procedures. This peroxide produces small amounts of oxygen which occurs naturally and requires some extra room in the tube. The tube is filled to allow for this expansion of the peroxide which is why the tube is only partially full. The tube is 4 oz. in size and contains 2.6 oz. of toothpaste as listed. Even though the toothpaste expands, it is entirely safe to use.

A little tip – try slightly shaking the tube to allow for easier dispensing. Also, store the tube on its side for ease of use.
